From what i read on velonews Rabobank fired him for two reasons. 1) He lied to him and they didnt know where he was, 2) He was "damaging" the team. But Rasmussen said the team paid for his tickets and he met with a team official there, and how could he damage the team when he was about to win the Tour, and bring thousands of dollars to the team. But like i said, thats what i read.
I'm kind of bummed about Rasmussen taking a dive. He was actually really good at being intervied after the stages and a pleasure to listen to. Most of these pros' seem boring, while talking to the media. He was/is a great speaker.
Yeah i am bummed about Rasmussen too. Up untill he was fired, he was one of my top 3 favorite riders in the Pro Peleton. (right behind Voigt, and McEwen) Im sad he lied, but unlike McQuaid or Pound, i dont remember who said it, Lying is NOT the same as a positive drug test.
With all due respect, Zabriski could take a couple lessons on public speaking. He is just a bore to listen to after stages and before. He just mumbles. He puts me to sleep, zzzzzzzzzz.

Maybe you should change your blog name to slipstream geek now that the disco boys are no more?
